Randall "Randy" L. Thoits Sr.

Randall “Randy” L. Thoits Sr. passed away March 27, 2017.  He was born July 21, 1957 in Portland to Maurice E. and Marjorie G. (Collins) Thoits.

Randy attended Yarmouth schools and then served in the U.S. Army from 1977-83.  He worked at the Maine Youth Center and Hannaford Brothers Warehouse.

Randy met Julie P. Burke in 1975 and they got married June 4, 1977 in Portland.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was also a true and loyal friend.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, throwing darts and family trips to Moosehead and Sebago Lakes.  He was a member of the Sebago Lake Regional Dart Association.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by:  his wife, Julie Thoits of Naples; sons, Randy Thoits Jr. and his wife Tammy of North Waterboro and Ryan Thoits and his fiancé Courtney Estes of Casco; brothers, Richard Thoits and his wife Pam, Ronald, and Robert, all of Yarmouth; grandchildren, Brittney and Brock Thoits of North Waterboro and Emma and Peyton Thoits of Casco; sister-in-law, Marie Burke  of Windham; brothers-in-law, Billy Burke and his wife Debby of Old Orchard and Dana Burke and his wife Linda of Standish; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Randy’s life will be held at a later date.
