I was very sorry to hear about my cousin Patty’s death. Although we lost track after marriage and children and working, we did see a lot of each other as children. I remember fondly Patty’s mom visiting my mom with Patty in tow.
Patty and I were only two years apart in age. She was born in April of 1939 and I was born in May of 1937. When you’re a child in elementary school that is a huge difference, but in the whole picture it’s a blink of the eye.
Our fathers were brothers. Mine was James Patrick and Patty’s was Uncle Johnny.
My family lived off Danforth Street at 1 King Place. It’s now a trucking terminal. I’m remembering that Patty lived on Park Street. Both locations are toney “Peninsula” addresses. Not so much then.
Sincere condolences to her children and to her sister Dolly Anne.
