What a nice service and reception tonight for Nora. My heart goes out to all of us, and especially to all you wonderful family members.
I was there this evening- one of her swim team friends. I thank you all for letting us join you in remembering our very special friend. What joy Nora brought to all of us.
I need to add one humorous memory here on line. I did not think it would have been right to stand up and share it!! Ha!.... We always said that Nora and I were bosom buddies! She and I would throw our arms over each other's shoulders. It was a joke because I was so flat- chested and she was more endowed. We would say, She was the bosom and I was the buddy....and then we would laugh and laugh! Yes, we girls had a special bond.
Nora was indeed a gift to all who knew her.
With heartfelt love,
Debi (Huntoon) Kruk

Thank you Debi, for being there for us and Nora, and also for sharing your story.
It is her birthday today, so we are all a little sad and quiet. I just want to think of her smiling down on us when I say "Happy Birthday in heaven Nora!" Loved her so much - best sister-in-law EVER.

Aunt Harriet, Billy and Kathleen and James, Susan.... the years have passed since we have shared time together, and yet the family bond reaches beyond. Miles keep us apart, but love keeps us close. I have been fortunate to be able to visit Aunt Harriet on my trips to Maine and recall with great joy the DJ skills of Billy for one of Kitty's epic celebrations. Nora and I communicated over Facebook messenger and I enjoyed that connection. Life is precious and I am so glad our paths crossed more intimately in the past few years. Life sweeps us into a frenzy at times and the little joys often go unheeded. My connection with Nora remedied that and I enjoyed her upbeat love of life and family.
I send my love and hugs to all of you, keep the happy memories of Nora close as time slowly mends your broken hearts. She gave us an appreciation of life's simple joys and in that we can carry on her spirit. Love and hugs, liz

Thank you Liz, for your kind words. We had the blessing of seeing so many people whose lives she touched at her memorial. I know that sometimes distance and years let people drift apart; I am happy that you reconnected on Facebook with Nora.

It is her birthday today, and I want to picture her smiling, as I wish her "Happy Birthday in heaven, Nora!" Best, most loving sister-in-law ever.

We have known Nora and John since we moved to Old Orchard Beach. She and John were the property managers at the condo development where we live. Nora was a wonderful manager, kind, patient, professional, but most of we considered her a friend. She was always positive and had a wonderful sense of humor. We will miss her a lot. Godspeed Nora.
