Minor was a delightful teacher and mentor for me and many other wonderful students in the 70's. We worked on several projects, primary being "Two Fifes and a Drum" a centennial celebration play with performances in schools throughout Maine. I did not know Minor had passed but tonight I heard just a snippet of "Appalachian Spring", by Aaron Copeland. I thought of him immediately since he encouraged my joy in that composer so many years ago. Salute, Minor, teacher, student and friend.

Just another student- we toured the arctic together back in 1971. Haven't been in touch but I will feel his absence.

Thank you, sir, for your stirring obit. I didn't know you. I read your obit online. But I took your parting words to heart. You continue to teach ever after leaving us. Godspeed.

Minor, I never had the pleasure of meeting you, and only learned of your existence because of your most excellent obituary. I am certain you enriched the lives of many people through your teaching and generous spirit, and you have inspired me to work harder at being a better person and appreciate those around me. The world has always needed people like you, and it always will.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I feel as though a part of me has passed along with Minor's journey to the next level. I took my first theater class with him and he cast me in my first role back in 1985. I was fortunate to have been taught by him and even luckier to have known him as a friend..

My man. You were an adversary and my teacher. During the time that I knew you, you articulated my life drastically. And I thank you for that.

I had the honor to be a student of Minor's many years ago and although he might not remember me, his spirit and kindness as a human being has remained with me all these years. I mourn his passing and rejoice in his life and memory.

Break a Leg my friend and my you rest in peace. We both worked with you at USM and loved you my good friend.. I remember having a meeting with you in your office as a small black ant walked across your desk. You picked it up with you hand a laid it outside. Minor, may the stage lights dim in your honor. You will be missed by thousands of people.

Toi, toi, toi, my good friend. How is your show doing? Fine, just fine. But how can that be true without you? You, sir, will leave a huge space as we walk to the footlights for a bow.
