Maddy graduated from Portland High School in June 1948, where she was a proud member of the girl's sorority club. Even after graduating, the "girls club" continued to get together every Tuesday night to play cards.
On May 29, 1949, she married Donald "Ducky" Daniels and together they raised four daughters.
Mostly, a stay at home mom, she did work part-time at Daniels Flooring Coverings. Maddy enjoyed many activities including bocce, bowling, golfing and spending many summer days at the lake or the beach. Maddy and Ducky enjoyed traveling every year to Las Vegas and even after the death of Ducky in 1987, Maddy enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She loved her trips to Foxwoods, Las Vegas, Aruba and Florida. She was a lifelong member of the Italian Heritage Center, and a member of the Women's Sodality at St Peters Catholic Church. Maddy also enjoyed working at Lyman Moore School as a lunch lady, giving extra cookies to the kids who enjoyed them the most.
Maddy was predeceased by her parents. Her husband Ducky, her daughter Deb and her great granddaughter Bayley Kierstead; her four brothers John, Louis, Joseph, and James; as well as her six sisters Theresa Richio, Eleanor Joy, Rose Salamone, Louise Gillies, Virginia Richio, and Marie Moran. She is survived by her sister Franny and her husband Sava Nappi, her daughters Dianne Breggia and her husband Sonny, Darlene White and her husband Ron, and Dawn DiBiase and her husband Steve, along with her grandchildren; Erica Kierstead and her husband Kevin, Donald Newbegin, and his wife Meg Rounds, and Abigail O'Brion and her husband Rory; great grandchildren Morgan and Max Kierstead, and Quinn and McKenna O'Brion. The family would like to thank the staff of the Baron center 2 for their kindness during Maddy's stay, especially Corilla, Taona, and Robin. You all are true angels.
