Fred was one of the first people who greeted me at the VFW in Portland. I would sit beside him and work a crossword puzzle almost daily. He always greeted me warmly and I had so much respect for this man who reminded me of my own father. I am saddened to hear of his passing away. My deepest sympathy to you, the family and friends left behind.

So very sorry to hear of Fred's passing. It has been a great pleasure working with him over the past years, even though we've only ever corresponded through Email. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this very difficult time.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I worked with Fred for several years at Hannaford Bros. I learned so much from him and have fond memories of our time together.
