We just now heard of Fran's passing. We have so many great memories of Fran and Dewey. You painted a perfect picture of your mother. She was the first to welcome us when we moved in next door. Fran was such a good cook and we spent many evenings over dinner and always lively conversation. On Sunday morning Dewey always played classical music that filled the air in our house. Two very special people who became very dear friends and took up a very large part in our hearts. Love to you girls and your families. Skip and Carol

Fran was the best mother-in-law I could have possibly had. One thing I will always remember about Fran is her positive and generous spirit (and great smile), shared by my late father-in-law, Dewey. I will take these gifts from Fran and Dewey and share them as best I can with my own children and their spouses.

We have so many good memories of Fran, and despite not seeing her for a long time,, I can still see her great smile and hear her laugh. We especially appreciated her belief in the strength of her girls to self determine. Fran enjoyed the company of all ages and we were lucky to know both Fran and Dewey years ago in Ann Arbor. I liked your Mom the moment I met her. She had such fun with her girls. That really impressed me. The obituary is spot on. She will be missed by many.

She was splendid. I felt like I hit the jackpot, having Fran and Dewey as my neighbors. So kind, welcoming, smart and funny.
