In retirement, Dwight volunteered time at his church as well as for Habitat for Humanity in Naples, FL.  Summers were spent in Portage Lake, Maine and later in Kennebunk.  Dwight was an avid gardener, a loyal Red Sox fan and a fan of camps, be they in the woods or on a lake.  Above all, Dwight enjoyed a family party.
