Doreen M (Robbins) Pritchard

October 11, 1950 ~ February 5, 2017 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Doreen M. (Robbins) Pritchard – Scarborough, passed away peacefully with family & friends by her side at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on February 5, 2017. She was born October 11, 1950, the daughter to the late Fred E.H. Robbins and Mildred M. (Lohnes) Robbins.

Doreen graduated from Portland High School, class of 1968. It was after graduating that she fell in love with her lifelong friend Jim. The two were married in 1975 and from there had two beautiful daughters.  Doreen worked the majority of her life as an Accounts Receivable Clerk at Burbank Douglas in Falmouth and Maine Mall Motors in South Portland. As her mother and cousin got older Doreen decided to leave the work force and became a fulltime caretaker for them both. Most recently she took a part time summer job at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, a place that her and her family have enjoyed going for years.

In addition to her parents, Doreen is predeceased by her daughter Andrea and her cousin Eva Cutler.  Doreen is survived by her loving husband Jim, her daughter Bethany Halladay and husband John, brother Ralph Robbins and wife Sheridan, sister Christine Merriman and husband Gerry, extend family, and lifelong friends Elizabeth (Betty) Worthen and Charles (Bud) Leighton.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hospice of Southern Maine and the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for the care she received.

There will be a graveside service at Forest City Cemetery in South Portland on Saturday February 11, 2017 at 10:30am. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House or The American Cancer Society.
