Charles Roger Pike

Topsham –Charles ”Charlie” R. Pike, 70, passed away on Thursday, October  5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at Maine Medical Center. 

 Charlie was born on January 17, 1947 in Lewiston the son of Charles and Violet (Bernier) Pike.  He graduated from Brunswick High School class of 1965. After graduating high school Charlie went on to serve his country in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War.

Charlie married Barbara Gustafson on May 28, 1983; he worked for over 30 years for Cummins North East as a sales engineer.  His interest included fishing, hiking, antiquing and doing puzzles. He enjoyed taking hikes and geocaching with his friend Charlie.  He also would go fishing at Matagamon wilderness Camp in Patten Maine, Charlie will be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 34 years Barbara  (Gustafson) Pike of Topsham, two daughters , Jill Laflamme and her husband Gary and Michelle Smith,  one son Jason Hansel and his wife Sincha, one sister Rene McIntosh also by four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5pm to 7pm at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland.

In Lieu of flowers if friends or family desire a memorial contribution can be made in Charlies name to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute;
